Achilles Hope and Possibility

The 2014 Achilles Hope and Possibility Five Mile Run was a huge success for A Step Ahead with members of Junior Team A Step Ahead, Team A Step Ahead, and our staff participating in the run. Five Juniors – Jake Lillis, Anthony Desano, Sydney Barta, Ryan Fitzpatrick, James Lozano, and Lucas Peterka completed the race as a relay team, assisted by Renato Castilho and Lori Penesis. Adult team members Michael LaForgia, Brian Reynolds, and Lauren Peters ran the full race. Staff members Erik Schaffer, C.P., Bernie Guzman, C.P., Gwyeth Smith, C.P., Phil Kreuter, P.T., and Roseann Grippaldi were also present to help all of the athletes make it to the finish line. Following the race, the entire team was treated to a picnic in the park.
